PapaNicholas Coffee has been a Chicagoland staple since the 1980s, and the Papanicholas family has been in the coffee business for five generations. I worked with them to create a new brand identity and packaging that emphasizes this rich heritage, highlights their premium coffees, and repositions the brand toward a younger audience.
Every element, from the full range of packaging to the website, was reimagined with a modern yet old-school feel. Drawing inspiration from Art Deco design and vintage letterpress printing, I created patterns and hand-drawn illustrations for the coffee bags, single-serve boxes, website, and social media.
